Nov. 21, 2019 -- Wichita State University is in the middle of a six part sustainability plan to develop and promote initiatives leading to a greater use of resources on campus. The initiatives revolve around facility improvements, new curriculum opportunities and overall student impact.The second goal of these efforts is to focus on reducing the carbon footprint on campus.

Nov. 18, 2019 - Shocker Share a Meal is a texting service that alerts current WSU students via notification when there is leftover, free food available on campus. The service began in August of 2019 and helps reduce food waste and insecurity on campus.

Sept. 30, 2019 - Wichita State University's Dining Services is taking steps to become more sustainable and reduce food waste on campus. The dining hall and Chartwells are committed to promoting sustainable practices in the WSU community.
