May 4, 2023 — Kyle Walter interned at Deloitte's Smart Factory @ Wichita while he was a student, and he'll be working at the company full-time after graduation. 

May 4, 2023 - Orel Ovil came to Wichita State University from Israel to play tennis and study in the W. Frank Barton School of Business in 2018. He is one of 10 students to earn Senior Honor recognition, the highest honor awarded to WSU students who demonstrate outstanding scholarship, leadership, involvement and service to WSU and the surrounding community.

May 3, 2023 — Wichita State University’s Gateway to IP applied learning program gives students the opportunity to learn about a career as a patent agent. Rob Gerlach from the Office of Tech Transfer created the program “with the purpose being to increase Wichita’s IP IQ.”

May 1, 2023 — As a designer, Wichita State's website was what caught Oluwasayo Benjamin Adekalu's eye and brought him to Wichita from Nigeria. As a student, he's learned how to hone his creative skills into building marketable products through the College of Innovation and Design.

April 27, 2023 — A student-led research team is attempting to replicate owl feathers in its quest to create silent drone propellers. Now NASA has invested in the project with a potential award of up to $82,000.

April 27, 2023 — Ayshea Banes has only just begun her educational career as she plans to pursue her doctorate after graduating from Wichita State University.

April 26, 2023 — Only two students were selected for the 2023 summer Yale University Press manuscript editorial internship — one was secured by a Yale University student and the other was Wichita State University's own Hannah Holliday.

April 26, 2023 — Zoe Jones transferred to Wichita State University from Texas Tech University and is enjoying her softball experience with the nationally ranked Shockers. In 2022, she earned all-region and all-conference honors at second base and a spot on the American Athletic Conference All-Academic team. This season, she is one of the leading hitters on a team headed to NCAA regional play.

April 25, 2023 — Kansas NASA EPSCoR Program has named Wichita State University’s College of Innovation and Design faculty member Maggie Schoonover as a recipient of its 2023 Partnership Development Grant for her proposal, “Familiarization Training Game for Extended Reality Spacesuit User Interface.”

April 21, 2023 — Angel Dao used her time at Wichita State to develop professionally and make connections within the industry she plans to pursue while finding time to care of her mental health.

April 21, 2023 — Corri Newman is senior communications sciences and disorders major in the College of Health Professions and a member of the WSU Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (WSUSSLHA) and serves as its NSSLHA chair. After she graduates, she plans to attend graduate school to become a speech-language pathologist.
