May 15, 2019 -- A device for the visually impaired has won the 2019 Koch Innovation Challenge, an annual competition for Wichita State University students.

May 7, 2019 -- Boosted Ideas Lab, a shot-art developer and confidence booster for developing basketball players, was the winner of the 2019 Shocker New Venture Competition at Wichita State University.

April 15, 2019 -- Brady Hatter sees the university campus as a giant garden. And every garden, he says, is a potential gallery in need of art. This Earth Day, Hatter will make his latest artistic contribution to the Wichita State canvas when his Earth Pod west of the Woodman Alumni Center is dedicated as part of the Earth Day Picnic at the Pod from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, April 22.

April 1, 2019 -- Wichita State students Jessica Aldrich and Levi Lowe have been chosen by the national University Innovation Fellows program to attend the Silicon Valley Meetup as student event leaders.

March 29, 2019 -- Christian Ammerman, Secondary English Education and English Literature Arts major, was recently recognized as a University Innovation Fellow.

March 7, 2019 -- Wichita State University’s School of Performing Arts will present “The Theory of Relativity”, the musical (rated PG).

Feb. 26, 2019 -- Two Wichita State Public Health Sciences faculty members are focusing their research on health equity for women in Kansas. The researchers have been approved for a $250,000 Engagement Award for their project “Women Involved Network (WIN for Kansas): Community Collaboration to Create Health Equity.”

Feb. 3, 2019 -- The installation of "pods" on campus are part of the new place-making initiative at Wichita State inviting students, employees and community members to “linger longer” on campus.

Jan 28, 2019 -- Sierra Bonn, a junior majoring in biomedical engineering, was recently recognized as one of the six Wichita State students named as University Innovation Fellows.

Jan. 18, 2019 -- A Wichita State University interdisciplinary team has been accepted to participate in the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps program for a device they created that could make a huge difference in orofacial research.

Jan 18, 2019 -- In November, Master of Innovation Design student Kristyn Smith worked with HAS HEART, a Michigan-based nonprofit organization that connects veterans to graphic designers from each state to tell their story through mediums of art, design, and fashion.

Jan. 17, 2019 -- 2018 Wichita State alumnus Brock Milford has won the prestigious FAA Centers of Excellence DOT Secretary of Transportation Student RAISE Award.

Dec 10, 2018 -- Six Wichita State students have been named University Innovation Fellows by Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design.

Dec. 6, 2018 -- During the fall semester, WSU first-year seminar students had the opportunity to enroll in Beal’s six-credit-hour JUMP!STAR class, co-taught by Ferrandi.
