Oct. 14, 2022 - Savannah Paschal, a senior Spanish education major at Wichita State, wrote a proposal that helped Alce su voz earn a $75,000 Building Power and Equity Partnership grant from the Kansas Health Foundation. The grant will support civic engagement and the group’s work toward health equity for Spanish speakers and speakers of indigenous languages in Kansas.

Aug. 26, 2022 — Wichita State’s Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences recently received a grant from the National Science Foundation Major Research Instrumentations program (NSF MRI) for a 500 MHz Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectrometer.

June 28, 2022 — Wichita State University’s Molecular Diagnostics Lab will continue to offer free COVID-19 testing to the public through December 2022.

June 20, 2022 — Wichita State's Dr. Mythili Menon was recently awarded $296,470 as part of the National Science Foundation’s EArly-concept Grants for Exploratory Research (EAGER) program to study how refugees respond to phishing and vishing attempts. EAGER offers exploratory funding for high-risk, high-reward research that investigates the nation’s pressing problems.

May 16, 2022 - Cameron McGinley’s work with machine learning with Dr. Sergio Salinas grew into one of the most rewarding parts of his education at Wichita State. McGinley will attend the University of California, San Diego for a Master of Science in computer science. Cameron is one of more than 2,400 students eligible for spring 2022 graduation. March 24, 2022 — A new initiative by Wichita State’s Public Policy Management Center and Sedgwick County is helping connect community members to resources that could help with economic recovery efforts.
