Feb. 27, 2024 — The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University has named its two recipients of the 2024 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year’s winners are Annika Lindeman from Eisenhower High School in Goddard, Kansas, and Abby Rexford from West Jessamine High School in Wilmore, Kentucky. They will each receive more than $32,700 spread over four years to attend WSU and major in entrepreneurship.

Feb. 19, 2024 — The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University is launching a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality. The program will begin in fall 2024 with applications now open for interested students. It was developed in response to growing local and national employment needs in the industry.

Feb. 15, 2024 — Ten high school students from Kansas, Missouri and Texas have been awarded the Koch Scholarship at Wichita State University, starting in the fall 2024 semester. Each scholar each will be awarded $30,000 to attend WSU over four years.

Feb. 15, 2024 - Lexi Jensen enjoys the amenities available in Wichita and the campus environment and academic offerings at Wichita State University. In her first months on campus, she dove into activities such as rowing and the Immersive Leadership Institute.

Feb. 6, 2024 - A grant from the National Endowment for the Arts will help the Ulrich Museum of Art celebrate the Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection as part of the Museum’s 50th Anniversary special programming.

Dec. 11, 2023 - Nicolas Olmedo studied in the W. Frank Barton School of Business and will start work at Textron Aviation in January in the sales development program.

Dec. 11, 2023 — More than 1,400 students are eligible to participate in Wichita State University’s 126th fall commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 in Charles Koch Arena.

Dec. 11, 2023 - Tyler Lefebvre enjoys Wichita’s dining scene and the activities and clubs offered at Wichita State University. He has been involved with the Wichita State’s varsity esports program as a team member and helping organize and manage the team.

Dec. 8, 2023 - Ryan Littlejohn worked his way through Wichita State University with help from instructors who guided him through the balancing act of academics and a busy life.

Nov. 6, 2023 — Wichita State University is home to nearly 5,000 first-generation students, individuals whose caregivers weren't able to complete a college degree and who lack the firsthand experience to tackle college life. To help with their transition, Wichita State offers a number of resources to first-gen students to support them during their time in college, including F1RST GEN SHOCKERS.

Oct. 26, 2023 - Support from the Rudd Scholars program helped Hallie Fritz adjust to college and find internships. She is active in the St. Paul Catholic Student Center and works at Credo Coffee Shop. Wichita State is proud of its role helping Rudd Scholars pursue passions and realize dreams in the state’s largest city.

Sept. 28, 2023 — Kansas home values will continue to appreciate in the coming year, according to the 2024 Kansas Housing Markets Forecast series published by the Wichita State University Center for Real Estate.

Sept. 27, 2023 — Wichita State University's efforts to transform the educational experience for students and redefine the role of a university to foster statewide economic growth have yielded remarkable results: the highest enrollment in its 128-year history.

Sept. 19, 2023 - Wichita State student Denae Sawyer spent the spring semester interning remotely with Dzanc Books. Her work consisted of reading and researching to determine if the manuscript fit Dzanc’s standards and sensibility. She also evaluated the potential audience and marketing strategies.

Sept.14, 2023 - Amy Nguyen uses the Rudd Scholars networking and mentoring programs at Wichita State. She made lifelong friends and participated in numerous campus activities. Wichita State is proud of its role helping Rudd Scholars pursue passions and realize dreams in the state’s largest city.
