Sept. 25, 2023 - Rudd Scholar Bayle Sandy found a sense of community at Wichita State University and enjoyed support from many sources for her academic and extracurricular pursuits. Sept. 18, 2023 — The community will soon have a new restaurant to choose from when Two Hands Corn Dogs opens on Wichita State University’s campus Friday, Sept. 22.
Sept. 11, 2023 — Wichita State University is holding a parade next month and is inviting anyone in the community to join in. Starting at 6 p.m. Oct. 6 on the WSU campus, the parade is part of the university’s annual Shocktoberfest celebration.
Aug. 14, 2023 — Wichita State Dining is going high tech with the rollout of robotic food delivery on campus, thanks to a partnership with Starship Technologies.
April 20, 2023 — The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University has chosen two recipients to receive the 2023 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year’s winners are Kayla Atkinson from Andover Central High School and Caleb Lowry from Eisenhower High School in Goddard.
Feb. 22, 2023 — The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University has awarded Isabella (Bella) Kilman, a Valley Center High School senior, the 2023 Clay Barton Scholarship. The $50,000 scholarship is one of the largest business scholarships in Kansas.
Nov. 30, 2022 — Delane Vaughn loved science and her biology teacher at Mulvane High School – Joe Johnson – started her on a path to Wichita State University as the first person in her family to attend college. She worked, raised a family and attended WSU and the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
Oct. 6, 2022 - Middle school girls from the surrounding area will get the chance to explore STEM careers at the 10th annual Expanding Your Horizons workshop Saturday, Oct. 22, at Wichita State University’s Hubbard Hall.
Sept. 23, 2022 — Basil Hourani, co-founder and former CEO of Pulse Systems Inc., co-founder and executive partner of Capital7, has been named as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University for the fall 2022 semester.
June 7, 2022 — Wichita State has a storied history of working with NASA while providing research opportunities to its students. David Nevarez-Saenz, an aerospace engineering senior and first-generation student, has been working with WSU’s NASA Jump Start Program (JSP) for the past two years.

May 9, 2022 — Five Wichita State University women were honored with the Women for Women Innovation Award for spring 2022. The Women for Women's Innovation Fund is awarded to Wichita State University students to support innovative ideas that show promise of commercialization.
