President's Distinguished SEM Award

Tell us a story about an unsung hero who has gone above and beyond to support the university’s enrollment efforts and our goal of presenting WSU as an open, welcoming place.

The Individual SEM Award is given to an employee — either faculty member or university staff — who has made a dramatic contribution to one of the Strategic Enrollment Management goal areas.

Nominations will be evaluated based on the impact made. Nominees can be anyone who:
  • Is employed by the university, including faculty, staff, on-campus and remote team members.
  • Has provided exemplary service in the furtherance of one of the university’s SEM Goals and the president's goal "...of presenting WSU as an open and welcoming place where all students can be successful...":
      • Goal 1: Advance activities by faculty, staff, students, and alumni that promote a positive experience that fosters a culture of enrollment growth.
      • Goal 2: Increase enrollment of new, degree-bound students.
      • Goal 3: Increase persistence rates of degree seeking student populations.
      • Goal 4: Increase non-degree for-credit enrollment.
      • To see the full list of SEM goals and strategies, see the SEM Goals

Nominations should include specific reference(s) to the stretegies in the SEM plan that the nominee advances as well as concrete examples of service. Two letters of support are required.

Nominations are due by January 28, 2022.  Nominations can be submitted by a WSU employee (faculty or staff), and are made by completing the SEM Nomination Webform, and may be supported by up to two letters of support (submitted with the form).
