Spring Commencement Reception

The College of Applied Studies invites graduates and their families to a reception on the Corbin Patio immediately following commencement. Light refreshments will be served.

Frank Lloyd Wright Day

The College of Applied Studies invites the campus community and the public to join in celebrating Frank Lloyd Wright Day. Tours of the Corbin Education Center, designed by the famed American architect Frank Lloyd Wright will be available. Light refreshments will be served.

Campers will spend the week exploring STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through a variety of hands-on activities. Scholarships are available. 

Fall Events

Welcome Back Bash

Students, faculty and staff are invited to join us in celebrating the start to a new school year. We will host our annual rubber duck races in the Corbin fountain. Door prizes available and lunch will be served. 

Clash of the Colleges Pre-Clash Bash

3-4 p.m. | Friday, August 21 | Corbin Education Center Patio
Join the College of Applied Studies as we prepare to take on the other academic colleges at the annual Clash of the Colleges! The Pre-Clash Bash will feature free CAS t-shirts, noise makers, face painting, food and drinks.

Students need to complete a waiver to compete in Clash of the Colleges. Waivers are available online at: wichita.edu/clash.

November (Date TBD) | Corbin Education Center
This exciting competition is held each November for high school seniors who declare a major in math or science education at WSU. Winners of the competition will receive the Klose Scholarship, which covers the average cost of tuition, books and fees during the junior and senior year. The Klose Scholarship Competition application must be completed independently of all other scholarship applications.
