If you are unable to attend an event, contact Professional Edge Program Manager Wendy Veatch at wendy.veatch@wichita.edu or call 316-978-3441, 24 hours prior to the event.

Q: Do I have to complete one event from each of the five categories to meet the requirements?

We strongly prefer that students attend the seminars that are designated for the Edge class that they are enrolled in. However, we understand that student schedules can be very busy, and we also understand that a senior enrolled in Edge 1 may want to hear the valuable information being taught in an Edge 3 seminar. For this reason, you may attend any seminar that is listed on the Schedule of Events. You may also do more than one event from each of the categories - like attending two communication seminars, for example.

Q: How will my participation be recorded?

At most events, you will be asked to swipe your Shocker ID that will record your participation. In order to get credit for your three outside-of-classroom events, please send an email to wendy.veatch@wichita.edu, and we will get your attendance marked down.

For most seminars, a short assessment will be available under Course Materials on Blackboard after the event. Assessments are mainly focused on obtaining feedback about the presentation and must be completed within 5 days hours of the seminar's conclusion.
