In addition to these awards, teams have the opportunity to obtain venture capital in the Director's Award. The Director's Award will be awarded by the Center for Entrepreneurship's Director, Mark Torline, to the Trade Show team that executes the most solid presentation. Presentation includes a display that accurately reflects and accentuates your product or service and is accompanied by a pitch that clearly conveys your business and provokes engagement. The winning team will receive $1,000 to use toward the commercialization of their new venture concept. The team that is awarded the Director's Award may qualify for additional awards if they advance to the final round of the competition.
People's Choice Award:
The 2018 Shocker New Venture Competition is welcoming undergraduate and graduate students of all majors to serve as Trade Show judges.
