INVESTMENT 101: ACCUMULATION, DISTRIBUTION AND

COMMON MISTAKES

How do you accumulate wealth for a financially secure retirement? Join us as we learn the basics of investing. We will begin by focusing on the investment lifecycle, beginning with the accumulation phase.  Learn about the various types of accounts to use, the benefits/compromises of a 401k and the difference between a traditional IRA and a Roth IRA. We will also discuss the benefits/compromises of mutual funds, stocks, ETFs and bonds. The second week we will focus on the distribution phase. Discussion will include when and whether to roll a 401K to an IRA, the different types of annuities, benefits/compromises of each and when to begin drawing your Social Security.
