The laboratory is currently engaged in the following research projects: 

1. Machine learning assisted trajectory optimization for spacecraft with solar electric propulsion. 

2. Improving prediction of extreme weather events through the design of novel orbiting sensor architectures and applications of machine learning to process sensor data. 

3. Mission design for flying a solar neutrino detector close to the Sun. 

4. Spacecraft attitude control and formation attitude synchronization.
