Engineering Student Success Center
Holiday Giving Tree
The staff of the Engineering Student Success Center are under taking an “Angel Tree”-style community service project for the holidays. We are coordinating a Holiday Giving Tree, where College of Engineering students struggling financially may complete a tree tag requesting gifts for their children under 18. Volunteers who wish to supply gifts for our students’ children may choose a tag off the Holiday Giving Tree. Want to participate? Here is the key info and dates:
Whether you want to request gifts or provide them, come between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Dec. 2 to Dec. 13, to the Holiday Giving Tree in the College of Engineering reception area in Partnership 2.
Students requesting gifts will be anonymous to the public. To participate, come to the College of Engineering reception desk in Partnership 2 to complete a tag and then hang it upon the tree. Please note this is open to College of Engineering students only. You will need to provide your WSU ID number and major. Gift pick up will be Dec. 19-21. You will need to choose one of three pickup times:
- Thursday, December 19: 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, December 20: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, December 21: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Those wanting to buy gifts for a fellow engineering student family should come to the College of Engineering reception area to choose a tag off the Holiday Giving Tree. You will need to take the tag to the reception desk so we can record the tag number, your name and phone number. You need to return gifts unwrapped in a bag with the original tag attached to the reception area by Monday, Dec. 16 at 5 p.m.
If you have questions, please contact Polly Wenzl at email@example.com.
Please note: We will make every effort to fill all requests, but we cannot guarantee this because we are dependent on enough volunteers choosing to buy gifts.
