Each elementary school will have one primary contact officer who provides services to the school. The officer is assigned to a patrol district with the school included in it. The officer interacts with students, works with faculty, staff, parents, and school organizations to solve problems, and may present classes as needed (such as bicycle safety, stranger danger, etc.).

Effects of the Program:
The program has resulted in improved youth/police relations. Resolution of several problems through police /school partnership, increased safety in educational institutions, and fewer repeated nuisance calls. This program supplements and augments existing programs such as D.A.R.E., G.R.E.A.T., and the high school "School Resource Officer" program. School/police partnerships are also encouraged through the close contact until the school liaison program.
