Graduate education information

The Master of Arts in Communication (MAC) program at Wichita State University is unique in the state of Kansas because it is part of an integrated school of communication. The program is designed to be flexible to support students’ specific needs and goals, rather than strictly follow a rigid curriculum.

In the MAC program, students take a combination of research methods, seminars, and professional skills courses. Specifically, the program's curriculum incorporates communication principles with the technology required in business and industry today while emphasizing the integrated nature of the communication discipline.

We offer two tracks for completing the MAC program: a traditional academic track and a professional track. We also offer an accelerated degree program, so with careful advanced planning, 9 hours of coursework taken as an undergraduate can also count toward a Master’s degree.
