The Research Partnership at Wichita State University is hiring in the call center. We are looking for individuals to work on our focus group recruitment and phone surveys. We will train upon hiring. Our typical hours are in the evening Monday - Thursday 5:30 to 9pm and a Saturday shift from 10am to 2pm. We are flexible around class schedules and other commitments, it is okay if you can’t work every shift. Work is “as needed” based on projects. Casual dress code. Pay starts out at $9 per hour.

Heartspring is seeking photographers for their event -

Heartspring is looking for two to three photography students to help out at a Heartspring event in November. It will be held at the Wichita Marriott and students will take formal shots of our guests arriving, along with some candid shots throughout the evening. There will be about 350 guests (so around 150 couples or so – maybe less that want their photo taken.) The event is from 5:00 - 10:00 p.m.

KMUW is looking to hire a part-time Marketing and Development Intern -

KMUW, Wichita’s National Public Radio station, is seeking a talented student intern from Wichita State University’s Elliott School of Communication to work in Marketing and Development. The intern will work 15 hours a week during the semester, roughly Sept. 3 through Dec. 5. The pay is $10 an hour. The intern will assist with marketing tasks, donor services and listener analytics with the potential to learn and create graphic design elements. The intern will also have the opportunity to shadow staff members and gain experience in other departments related to their interests.
 
The best candidates will have:
  • Graphic design experience with knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with donor databases is preferred, but not required.

KMUW is looking to hire talented Elliott School student interns -

KMUW, Wichita’s National Public Radio station, is looking for talented student interns from Wichita State University’s Elliott School of Communication (ESC) for its KMUW News Lab program this fall. Interns will work 15 hours a week during the semester, roughly Aug. 19 through Dec. 5. The pay is $10 an hour.

The intern will learn how to report and write for broadcast and digital platforms. The intern also will spend time shadowing KMUW reporters and will receive training to help develop his or her on‐air voice. The intern also will have a formal exit interview with the news director, who will identify the intern’s strengths and weaknesses and areas to work on during the upcoming academic semester.

Applications should include a resume with references and four to five examples of the student’s work. Material that has been published or broadcast is preferred, although outstanding class assignments also may be submitted.

The American Athletic Conference (AAC) is seeking a Campus Connect student - 

The American Digital Network tells the stories of student-athletes across the conference’s 13 different campuses. While The ADN creates daily on-demand and live content from the conference headquarters in Providence, Rhode Island, it is in search of passionate students who can bring the digital network unique stories straight from campus. Students will be responsible for shooting, editing, and uploading content for use on The American’s digital platforms.

The American Athletic Conference will select one student from each campus to serve the duration of the 2019-2020 academic year. 

Duties

  • Be ready and willing to execute projects as assigned – each student should be prepared to pitch ideas as well as receive projects unique to their institution
  • Plan, shoot, and edit features from beginning to end - this includes, but is not limited to, script writing, narrating, standups, and giving the story a “polished” look

  • Capable of completing assignments as a “one-man band”
