Amy Kalb is an Assistant Professor and BSW Program Director in the School of Social Work. Amy received a BSW from Valparaiso University in 1997 and a MSW from the University of Michigan in 1999 with emphasis on community organizing and children and families. She has over 10 years of clinical experience in child welfare, family violence and hospice care. She completed her DSW in 2017 from Capella University. Her research focus for her dissertation was Resilience and Middle School Girls utilizing photography with the Photovoice methodology. She began teaching in 2007 and is interested in utilizing simulation activities in practice courses. She was a member of an interprofessional education committee, and presented her IPE research nationally and internationally.
