Fall semester auditions for jazz ensembles will be held Friday, August 17th in Duerksen Fine Arts Center B114.

Please arrive early to your audition and fill out the information card on the stand outside the office. The specific requirements for each instrument are outlined below. Please take note of the indicated rehearsal letters and/or measure numbers. Additionally, take note of the items that are optional. Music for the prepared material (“Low Down”, “Pools”, and “Red’s Blues) can be found hyperlinked below. Lastly, each instrument has the option of improvising on a Db blues. A backing track, as well as chord changes for all transpositions of a Db blues can be found here.

 

Alto Sax Auditions
