Applied Instructor of Voice
Lindsey Ramey is an American soprano. She has performed extensively in the Chicago area with various opera companies and symphonies, as well as with the South Dakota Symphony. She was a finalist in several vocal competitions in Chicago, including the Union League competition and the Musician’s Club of Women competition, and a semi-finalist in the Chicago region Metropolitan Opera competition. She also sang in the chorus of Lyric Opera of Chicago for several seasons, where she met her husband, International Opera Star Samuel Ramey.
Lindsey holds several degrees in vocal performance from highly regarded institutions. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from St. Olaf College (Alice T. Larsen, voice teacher), her Master of Music degree from Northwestern University (Norman Gulbrandsen, voice teacher) and her Certificate in Voice from DePaul University (Norman Gulbrandsen, voice teacher). She has traveled the world with her husband, studying with professional teachers and coaches, learning from opera conductors, directors, and performers.
