Guest Artist: VALORIE HUBBARD
The WSU Theatre Program was honored to have Valorie Hubbard present her "Working in
the Business" workshop for WSU students in fall of 2014. Hubbard is a working actor
and owner of Actor's Fast Track--a consulting business for actors who need A-List
leverage to achieve stand out careers.
Hubbard has been acting professionally for nearly 30 years--18 years in NYC and 10 in Los Angles. She graduated from the Goodman School of Drama at DePaul University in Chicago and also teaches acting in Los Angeles. Some of her favorite credits in New York include The Crucible at The Roundabout Theatre, The Country Boy at Irish Rep, The Sweepers and The Queen Bee’s Last Stand both at Urban Stages. Valorie has worked regionally and internationally and has also collaborated with an amazing range of acting professionals including John Guare, Joseph Chaiken, Toni Kotite, Neel Keller, Terry Schreiber and Zbigniew Cynkutis.
Film credits include A Better Life, An American Christmas Carol, Divorce Invitation, The Hannah Montana Movie, Smell of Success, Pennance, Resident Evil: Extinction, Parasomnia, Wrestling with Alligators, Gameday, and the Hallmark Christmas movie, Help for the Holidays. TV Credits include roles on How I Met Your Mother, Glee, American Horror Story, Workaholics, True Blood, 90210, ER, Desperate Housewives, Zeke and Luther, Good Luck Charlie, I’m In the Band, recurring roles on Kickin It, HUGE, The Job, Missing Persons and Comedy Central’s American Body Shop.
