Graduate Student Council
What: The Wichita State University Graduate Student Council (GSC) is a newly constituted graduate student governing body.
Why: We know that graduate students can have a harder time connecting with peers within and across departments and even harder time going to the right organizations and individuals with the right concerns and questions. GSC is a solution that helps engage graduate students with social and collaborative events and lets voices be heard from represented departments. We exist to represent graduate student interests and concerns at the university; develop and disseminate ideas to improve the academic, social, and professional welfare of graduate students; to sponsor and lend its name to events conducted for the benefit of all graduate students; to utilize its fund appropriately for the fulfillment of graduate student needs; and to provide channels of communication between the graduate student body and the members of the Student Government Association (SGA), the University administration, and other University organizations.
Spring 2020 open meetings are scheduled every 2nd and 4th weeks of each month.
