Why I chose WSU
I chose WSU for the loving people and community I found while on campus. I loved how many new friends reached out to me, and the whole campus atmosphere drew me in as a senior in high school.

Favorite thing
Now that I am a current student, I think my favorite parts of WSU are the incredible communities to be involved in. There are so many wonderful people who genuinely care about personal growth, and help people actualize dreams bigger than oneself. I love how my professors and colleagues are all very knowledgeable and selfless in how they serve campus. The spirit of individuals on campus pervade the overall culture, making WSU a great place to be.

Favorite place
My favorite place on campus is Wiedemann concert hall. Nothing can compare to the feeling of performing in a place where beauty is created with any piece of music.

My advice for incoming students is to get more personally connected to a professor or faculty member. They will support your growth throughout your time at WSU, and help connect you across campus and professionally in so many ways. This is a great way to share your passions with someone else who will encourage you each time you see them in or out of classes, and enrich your experiences immensely.

Favorite class
My favorite class I have taken so far is Leadership in Self and Society with Dr. Peter Cohen. I took the one week pre-session course for my Leadership Honors track, and it challenged me to grow on every level as I reevaluated how I contribute to communities I am involved in. The intensive nature of the course demanded me to completely invest in the week, and I know I will continue to use the skills from the class throughout the rest of my life.
