DeVore Family Scholarship in Business

The DeVore family has been active in Wichita, where its contributions have aided many of the city's major causes and nonprofit organizations. It established a Bible publishing company, DeVore and Sons more than 70 years ago. The Devore Foundation was created in 1953 by Floyd and Alma DeVore and its work carried on by their sons, Bill and Dick DeVore. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting education, youth services, health care, social care, arts and culture in the community and is funded through a percentage of the annual profits from the several companies owned by the DeVore family. The DeVores are active volunteers and board members for organizations such as the YMCA, Music Theatre of Wichita, Wichita Area Chamber of Commerce and the Salvation Army, among others.

The DeVore Family Scholarship in Business was established by the DeVore family to assist students enrolled in the W. Frank Barton School of Business at WSU. The entrepreneurial spirit exhibited by the DeVore family is an inspiration to students hoping to succeed in business. The scholarship paves the way for students to achieve this dream.
