DeVore Foundation Scholarship/Fellowship

The DeVore Foundation was established by Floyd and Alma DeVore, Bill DeVore's parents, in 1953. After they passed away, Bill and his brother, Richard, became co-administrators of the foundation. Richard passed away in 2016. The DeVore Foundation under Bill and Richard's guidance supported many social service organizations, including the YMCA, the Salvation Army, Wichita Symphony, Music Theater Wichita, the Wichita/Sedgwick County Historical Museum and the Wichita Art Museum.

Bill is a member of Music Associates, a volunteer donor fund that supports the School of Music in the WSU College of Fine Arts. Bill studied classical piano from the age of 5 and especially enjoys being a jazz pianist. He hopes this scholarship will support the educational and artistic dreams of WSU students studying piano or majoring in music.
