Kevin M. Anderson Fellowship


Dr. Robert Anderson, professor emeritus of education administration and supervision, retired from WSU in 1992. A graduate of the University of Iowa, his teaching career spanned more than 40 years, including UI, the University of Nebraska and 25 years with WSU. His wife, Darlene, also a graduate of UI, earned her masterís in education from WSU in 1972. A school nurse with the Wichita Public School District, she retired in 1991.

In 2000, to honor the accomplishments of their son, Dr. and Mrs. Anderson established the Kevin M. Anderson Fellowship for graduate students pursuing a degree in biology, with preference to the study of ecology. Currently employed by the Robert Dole Veterans Hospital in Wichita, Kevin Anderson graduated from WSU in 1981 with a degree in biological science.

Longtime supporters of WSU, Dr. Anderson serves on the Deans Advisory Council for the College of Education and Mrs. Anderson is a member of the ìWe are Wichita Stateî campaign cabinet.
