Malcolm S. Doggett Track and Field Endowed Scholarship

After attending Coffeyville Junior College, Malcolm Stanley Doggett enrolled at the University of Wichita where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1958. Mr. Doggett participated on the university's first cross country team in 1957 and 1958. Following graduation, he stayed active in the community as a member of the Wichita Jaycees, First United Methodist Church, Sedgwick County Sheriff's Posse and was president of the Haysville Saddle Club. In 1995, he retired from his position as associate research engineer at Boeing. Mr. Doggett passed away in September 1997.

In consideration of Mr. Doggett's participation with the cross country team, his wife, Janice, established the Malcolm S. Doggett Track and Field Endowed Scholarship. Mrs. Doggett's timeless contribution has touched the lives of many athletes at WSU.
