Overview
With over 25 years of experience in business and education, Matt Forney, director, Institute for Emerging Technologies and Advanced Learning, is passionate about creating relationships and producing outcomes for students and employer partners that are positive and lasting. An energetic and analytical problem solver, he thrives on driving strategic projects and meeting deadlines and financial goals.
Matt joined the WSU team in 2015 as co-founder and executive director of Ennovar Technology Solutions. Prior to WSU, Matt was the director of technology for the Derby Public School District. He also served as senior engineering QA manager at NetApp where he was part of the Advanced Development Team, driving the development of new and innovative technology.
A Wichita native, life-long learner, published writer and community speaker, Matt attended Friends University for both his undergrad and graduate studies and holds a Master of Science in Management information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences.
