Overview
As Director of Operations, Tom’s responsibilities include managing day to day infrastructure, budgeting, and setting and achieving goals for applied learning students and the subject matter experts leading student teams. He also develops new growth opportunities with industry partners, creating solutions that address workforce and research needs as well as enhance the learning process for applied learning students.
Since joining Ennovar in 2016, Tom has worked as solutions reference architect lab manager and customer support supervisor. As Ennovar’s senior technical manager, he directed student and subject matter expert acquisition, served as technical trainer and partner liaison—directing operational activities, strategic goal setting, communications, budget, analysis and collaboration. Prior to Ennovar, Tom advanced his technical skills over a 20-year span at LSI Corporation and NetApp, Inc., in roles ranging from senior software engineer to product support manager.
Tom graduated summa cum laude and was the outstanding mathematics graduate from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, Odessa, TX, with a double major in mathematics and computer science. He then moved to a graduate research assistant position in the Department of Computational and Applied Math at Rice University, Houston, TX, specializing in the areas of non-linear optimization and computational functional analysis and modeling.
