Overview
Colonel (Retired) Chris Snyder, Director of Information Technology and Security for WSU Industry and Defense Programs, joined the WSU team in 2021 as Director of the Cyber Security and Forensics Research Group.
A seasoned leader, Chris retired after 30 years of service in the United States National Guard in 2020, where he most recently served as the Vice Commander, 184th Wing, KS Air National Guard at McConnell Air Force Base.
With over 25 years management experience in cyberspace operations (as well as the command and control of combat aircraft), Chris is Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) and holds a Chief Information Officer Certification from the Department of Defense National Defense University. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Webster University, McConnell Air Force Base, KS and holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, FL.
