Pizza Hut’s advertising ambitions started small: radio and TV commercials produced by local companies like KAKE television station here in Wichita. Soon, however, Pizza Hut partnered with its franchisees to begin to produce national advertising for the growing company.

Pizza Hut then moved from traditional advertising to product placement, with Pizza Hut pizzas appearing in movies like Wayne’s World and Back to the Future II.
