Overview
Captain Scot Mullis, originally from Honolulu, HI, enlisted into the Kansas Army National Guard in October of 2013. After Basic Combat Training he earned his commission as a Second Lieutenant from the Federal Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, GA in June of 2014. From 2014 – 2016 he was assigned as the Maintenance Control Officer and Platoon Leader for the 891st Engineering Battalion Forward Support Company in Iola, KS. After completing an interstate transfer to the Nebraska Army National Guard in December of 2016, he was assigned as the Maintenance Control Officer and Platoon Leader for the 734th Brigade Support Battalion Bravo Company Detachment 1 in Scottsbluff, NE. In February of 2018 he was assigned as the S4 (Battalion Logistics Officer) for the 734th BSB out of Kearney, NE. That July he was selected for the Assistant Professor of Military Science position at Chadron State College in Chadron, NE until August of 2020. CPT Mullis has been an APMS with Wichita State ROTC since September of 2020.
CPT Mullis is a 2010 graduate from the University of Missouri at Kansas City with a Bachelors Degree in History and is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in Education. He has completed Ordnance Basic Officer Leadership Course, Military History Instructor Course, and Common Faculty Development Instructor Course. He is married to Riann Mullis of Lansing, KS and they have one daughter Ruby.
