Linda Lindsly
Administrative Assistant, WSU Athletics – Volleyball, Golf, Track & Field, Cross Country
Congratulations to Linda Lindsly for 25 years of service at Wichita State University. Linda joined Wichita State University in 1995.
She began in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, where she educated herself about each of the colleges within the University. She became a huge cheerleader for Wichita State University after learning about the programs and degrees offered at the University.
Linda also worked on campus for the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program, a new TRIO Program at WSU, working with first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students in higher education to help them achieve postgraduate degrees. Later, Linda transferred to Student Support Services, another TRIO program that provided resources and support to help these students succeed in college and achieve undergraduate degrees.
In 2004, Linda moved to the Athletic Department where she provides administrative support for Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Golf, Track and Field, and Cross-Country programs. Linda works tirelessly to ensure her coaches in each program have everything they need. Most importantly, Linda comes to work every single day and makes a positive impact on her coworkers, volleyball players, coaches, and fans. Linda’s positive attitude and fun personality make her a joy to work with! Her work ethic is outstanding, and she truly shines when working with Shocks Match Club members and Shocker fans.
Prior to working at Wichita State University, Linda provided care for over 50 babies in the foster care system. She still brings that same commitment and positive energy to her work today. Linda gives her sports everything she has—and more.
Thank you, Linda, and congratulations!
