Blackboard Ultra is Totally New
Blackboard is one of the original learning management systems, dating back to 1998. While it is only a few decades old, those decades saw the fastest rate of technological change ever to that point. In the time between 1998 and now, the Blackboard LMS got old and needed to be replaced. Instead of building a new system on top of 20th century technology, Blackboard decided to create an entirely new software architecture for its Ultra LMS. As a result, Ultra is totally new and represents a major change from the Learn LMS that WSU used for many years. But don't worry.
