Question 1: Does this project require Prevailing Wages / Davis-Bacon Act pay rates?
Answer 1: This project does not include construction. Installation hours would be subject to Prevailing Wages / Davis-Bacon Act Pay rates.
Question 2: Does this project require the use of Union labor?
Answer 2: No.
Question 3: What is the approximate date of the project award?
Answer 3: March-April 2026
Question 4: What are the approximate dates (to/from) that the AV update project will take place?
Answer 4: January 2027 – March 2027
Question 5: Will there be an expectation that the AV Contractor will be working at the same time as a General Contractor and/or Electrical Contractor, creating potential interruptions in the AV integrator’s work schedule?
Answer 5: No, AV will install after construction substantial completion.
Question 6: Will a Proposal Presentation be required between the AV Contractor and Wichita State University, as part of a selection process for a final/winning bidder?
Answer 6: No.
Question 7: Will a lockable space be available nearby for storage of the AV equipment being installed for the project?
Answer 7: Yes.
Question 8: Will a refuse container be available for use by the AV Contractor for trash removal during the project?
Answer 8: No, AV contractor will be responsible for their own trash removal.
Question 9: Will safety training be a requirement for the AV Contractor employees, prior to working at the project site?
Answer 9: No.
Question 10: Will any type of badging be required for the AV Contractor employees, prior to working at the project site?
Answer 10: No.
Question 11: Will there be a certain length of training hours, not to exceed for a single training session, 2 hours, 4 hours?
Answer 11: None needed beyond standard start-up training.
Question 12: Will there be a requirement for the AV Contractor to attend the first use of the system?
Answer 12: No.
Question 13: Regarding the referenced below: Should we utilize the Intelligent Video Solutions Master Quote or the Appendix A Bidding Equipment List for the RFP bid?

IPIVS part numbers in the Bidding Equipment List and the IPIVS Master Quote do not match.
Answer 13: Appendix A.
Question 14: Confirm telecommunications room network switch location for AV connections to the building network and building network – VALT VLAN is in IDF 301.
Answer 14: Yes.
Question 15: Each digital AV over RJ-45 receptacle, permanently installed cable, equipment cord, patch cord and patch panel will be of a color or have markings that are non-standard with the voice/data system, and be plainly and permanently labeled "AV ONLY"."
What is the specified color of cabling that is non-standard to the Universities voice/data system?
Is the AV contractor responsible for all data connections from the building network to the AV devices?
Please provide the cable structure requirements for AVoIP and network connections to the building network, building network VALT LAN, building network AV LAN, and to the AV Patchbay.
Answer 15:
The AV contractor is responsible for all patch cables required to connect AV devices to the building network, including IVS devices. Building network structured cabling is by others.
AVoIP is on separate dedicated network in C355 in the rack indicated, and as indicated in the AV systems drawings. IVS is running on the building network in a dedicated VLAN. IVS server is in C355 along with the AVoIP switches and AV headend.
Question 16: The master quote provided from IPIVS is not reflecting the equipment list in Appendix A - AV Systems Spec and Appendix B - MedSim Drawings. All IPIVS model numbers vary and there is a Red Start/Stop Button shown from IPIVS master quote. Can you confirm if the AV Systems Spec and MedSim drawings provided are to include a Start/Stop Button from IPIVS and it's intended connection to the AV system? Are the 12 rooms for room type MS0303 to use the IPIVS Start/Stop Button or the E-Switch? Confirm camera I/O connection for room types MS0306-MS0308 on MedSim drawings.
Answer 16: The start stop feature is programming only for IVS. No stand-alone button from IVS is required. This “button” will be on the control panel for the room and through AV processor control contact closures.
Question 17: Please confirm the correct model number for the Shure hanging microphone. MX202WP/C is not an available model.
Answer 17: MX202WP-A/C
Question #18: A Crestron CEN-IO-RY-104 is shown in the Crestron master quote for room types MS0304-MS0308. The bidding equipment list in the spec only shows the module in room types MS0307 and MS0308.
Please confirm whether to include this in the proposal and it's intended connection to the AV system.
Answer 18: Follow the Spec, BEL and Drawings which show only MS307 & MS308.

This Addendum is hereby made part of the solicitation documents and shall be acknowledged in the Bidder’s response. The purpose of this Addendum is to clarify and correct the requirements regarding the submission of proprietary information.
Bid Responses must be submitted to WSU Office of Purchasing prior to the bid closing date and time in the format as described in the original bid solicitation!
