TRIO Student Support Services offer students opportunities to build positive relationships while learning important life skills in an office environment. When available, Wichita State University students can apply for employment and be a part of our diverse and student-friendly team. We have several student positions available throughout the year: Student Assistant (office), Lab Assistant or Tutor. TRIO SSS program participants are encouraged to apply for these positions.


Open Positions


Tutors are trained and certified to provide peer tutoring to SSS students in courses that they have received at least a grade of B or better.

Other Positions


Responsibilities include managing and updating the SSS website, preparing monthly and weekly newsletters, keeping track of website database records, etc. Good customer service skills and an ability to work on multiple tasks are essential.


Student Assistants are assigned to the main office. Responsibilities include receptionist and clerical work. Good customer service skills and an ability to work on multiple tasks are essential as well.
