KALHD Symposium

KALHD is a nonprofit association dedicated to strengthening local health departments for the purpose of improving and protecting the health of all Kansans. KALHD’s membership consists of all 100 of the local health departments in Kansas.
Throughout the course of this stand-alone symposium, you will have the chance to participate in a variety of workshops, seminars, and networking sessions tailored to address the diverse needs and challenges faced by local health departments today.

The Wichita State University College of Health Professions is approved as a provider
of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. The pre-conference
is pending approval for 6 contact hours and the main conference is pending approval
for 11 contact hours applicable for RN, LPN, or LMHT relicensure. (Kansas State Board

Social Work
This program is pending approval by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
for continuing education for social workers. The pre-conference is pending approval
for 5 contact hours and the main conference is pending approval for 9.2 contact hours
