Wichita State expansion wins award from state of Kansas

 

Wichita State University’s Innovation Campus was recently announced as a Regional Award Winner as part of the Kansas Department of Commerce’s Business Appreciation Month. The awards serve as a tribute to Kansas businesses for their contributions to the community, the state economy and the people of Kansas.

The Innovation Campus gives WSU students the opportunity to apply their studies to real-world applications and receive the training necessary to seamlessly move into the workforce. Students have unique access to advanced laboratories and technology, industry leaders and an 18,000-square-foot community makerspace.

Current partnerships on the campus include Airbus Americas, Spirit AeroSystems, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence and Wichita-Sedgwick County Law Enforcement.
