Jan 2, 2014 — By WSU News Services — Steve Hathaway, age 68, died at his daughter's home in Maine on Dec. 26, after a week of hospice care. Hathaway taught creative writing and American literature at WSU from 1974-2012, where he was a beloved teacher, mentor and friend. At his request, no funeral was held, but plans are to celebrate his life at a Festival of Steve at Ten Apple Farm in Gray, Maine, in early June. Donations in his memo
