Sep 2, 2009 — By WSU News Services — Sixteen teams totaling 64 golfers raised more than $3,500 at the first Stephanie McCart Memorial Golf Tournament on Aug. 29 in Halstead, Kan. The success has resulted in plans for this to become an annual event, with proceeds going toward Stephanie's scholarship in the College of Education. McCart, a WSU College of Education student, was only 22 when she died on March 14, 2009, in a car accident.

Sep 4, 2009 — By WSU News Services — The Division of Academic Affairs and Research at WSU has begun a yearlong effort to positively respond to state budget cuts by building stronger learning and research programs to serve Kansas. President Don Beggs and Provost Gary L. Miller told faculty members yesterday (Wednesday, Sept. 2) about the new initiative, Reshape and Rebuild. Faculty, staff and other supporters are being asked for their
