Year-over-year average annual employment grew a meager 0.4 percent in June 2011, and only modest gains are expected in 2012. That's according to the 2011 Kansas Economic Outlook, just released by WSU's Center for Economic Development and Business Research.

Stephens plans to make a 550-plus mile bicycle trip to the site of the plane crash on Mount Trelease in the Rocky Mountains, arriving on the anniversary of the 1970 plane crash on Sunday, Oct. 2.
