Deborah Willis will discuss the unique contribution of Gordon Parks to American visual arts and culture in a presentation at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in the CAC Theater. Admission is free. Willis sits on the Gordon Parks Advisory Board. She also contributed an essay to the landmark, five-volume 2012 publication "Gordon Parks: Collected Works" by the noted German publisher Steidl. This event is in conjunction with the photography exhibition "The Hard Kind of Courage: Gordon Parks and the Photgoraphers of the Civil Rights Era" on view at the Ulrich Museum through Dec. 16.
