FOCUS to host state Kansas NOW conference at WSU
The conference is $15 for those who would like lunch provided, and free for those who plan on dropping in and out during the day. Note: There is a place to indicate which option you prefer on the registration page at http://ksnow.org/. The conference is open to the public.
The morning features Lazone Grays, who will discuss issues of economic justice. Immediately following lunch, Pamela Merritt will speak on issues of reproductive justice, followed by a panel of women in Kansas government including Rep. Gail Finney, Rep. Ponca-We Victors, Sen. Oletha Faust-Goudeau and City Councilwoman Lavanta Williams.
Finally, a panel on health issues will focus on domestic and sexual violence in the Muslim community, and HIV and minority women.
