* The WSU GreenGroup presents "Wichita's Greatest Natural Resource (and how to make the most of it)," a presentation by Hoyt Hillman of the Arkansas River Coalition, at 12:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 13) in 101 Geology Building. There's no admission charge. Feel free to bring your lunch.

* HealthQuest sponsors free biometric screenings in WSU's Heskett Center on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 15-16; Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 26-27; Thursday and Friday, March 21-22; and Thursday and Friday, April 25-26. The sign-up deadline is two full business days before an event. Testing is conducted in 30 minutes or less using a simple finger stick. * The WSU Child Development Center is offering an in-service, "Opportunity Knocks," for anyone who would like to attend from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at the CDC. This in-service will share childhood obesity trends that set the stage for the opportunities providers have for helping children, as well as staff and families, to increase their daily physical activity while making healthier food choices.
* The Intensive English Language Center still needs volunteers -- especially drivers -- to be conversation leaders. You will be conversation partners spending time on Wednesdays helping international students practice English conversation skills. * The Fall 2012 Chemistry Colloquium Series continues with a presentation by professor Hubert Yin from the University of Colorado at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in 224 McKinley Hall. The presentation is titled "Drugging the Undruggable."
