* WSU faculty and staff are invited to a service learning exploration meeting from 8:30-11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in Marcus Welcome Center. The Divisions of Academic Affairs and Campus Life and University Relations are exploring ideas on how to expand and formalize service learning opportunities on campus. Service learning is a high impact teaching practice that is known to engage students, improve critical thinking skills and ultimately lead to improved retention and graduation rates. * The Tilford Commission invites faculty and staff to its final meeting of the semester from 3-5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, in 227 Hubbard Hall. The Tilford Commission is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion through curricular innovation, recruitment and retention efforts, and campus events that foster intercultural competency.

* The "Buzz-Worthy Art Talk" with Genevieve Young, third wife to the late Gordon Parks, will begin with a reception at 5 p.m. and program at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in the CAC Theater. The free event is being held the day before Parks' 100th birthday.
