* The Office for Faculty Development and Student Success will hold a Finals Prep Study Skills Workshop from 1-2 p.m. today (Tuesday, Dec. 4) in 105 McKinley Hall.

* A reading and reception for Richard Spilman will be held at 4 p.m. today (Tuesday, Dec. 4) in the lower level of Ablah Library. Spilman, associate professor of English, will retire at the end of this semester. He has served WSU since 1992. The reading and reception are free and open to the public. Spilman will read from new and older work, and his books will be available for purchase.

* Each year, almost half of WSU's incoming fall class is made up of transfer students. All faculty and staff are invited to the Transfer Workshop from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Marcus Welcome Center. To RSVP, contact Debbie Neill at 978-5675 or debbie.neill@wichita.edu.

* In continuing the WSU tradition established in 1962 by the late Nicholas Pronko, professor emeritus of psychology, it is again time to support the Holiday Card Scholarship fund.
