* United Parcel Service has raised the shipping cost by 4.9 percent effective Dec. 31. Federal Express raised the shipping cost by 5.9 percent effective Jan. 7. And United States Postal Service announced that they will raise the shipping cost by 2.57 percent effective Jan. 27.
