* Nominations are now being accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for Unclassified Professionals. Nominees should have provided exemplary, dedicated and caring service to WSU beyond the normal expectations and responsibilities of their position, and must have a .5 or greater appointment as an Unclassified Professional.
Go to http://www.wichita.edu/upsenate for the nomination form and instructions. Nominations are due by noon Friday, Feb. 22.
* New 2013 special order catalogs are available for pick up from the supply window at Central Services in the basement of Morrison Hall (room 010). Stop by and pick up catalogs for your department during normal business hours from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m.
* Take Shape For Life will help with your New Year's resolution to get healthy. Come to the first and third Thursday meetings of the month to find out more about this program that has helped WSU faculty/staff lose more than 400 pounds. The next meeting will be from 12:10-12:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in 206 Heskett Center.

* WSU's Counseling and Testing Center is offering a workshop to help high school students prepare for the ACT from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 19, at WSU. The cost for the workshop is $32, and registration can be done online at www.registerblast.com/wsu.
* WSU was nominated for "Best Road Trip Destination in College Basketball" presented by Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Voting for the 10 finalists has opened with the winner to be completely fan-determined through Facebook voting at facebook.com/bestofcollegebasketball. Fans can vote once per day until Friday, Jan. 25.
