Make a reservation for Saturday's winter art party

Andy Warhol set us rolling with soup cans, and we've been fascinated with the pop culture of consumerism ever since. From soup cans to a grocery bag sculpted in bronze, come explore artistic interpretations of the grocery store at "Stocked: Contemporary Art from the Grocery Aisles" featuring the work of contemporary artists who, directly and indirectly, take the grocery store and consumption of its products as their subjects.

Hurry over to "Open For Business," the Ulrich's winter art party to celebrate the opening of "Stocked" from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19.

We'll have the deli ladies pushing free samples and blue-light specials on supermarket-style giveaways for party attendees. Just like at the grocery store, you're bound to run into someone you know.

To make reservations (free for Ulrich Museum members and WSU students, $10 for general public), call 978-3664 or email ulrich@wichita.edu. Valet parking will be available.
