* President Bardo announced that $50,000 would be made available for undergraduate research projects to enhance the student learning experience and increase the overall quality of our academic programming. Academic Affairs accepting applications from undergraduate students who want to pursue a research experience, which can be broadly defined, with a faculty mentor. Please encourage students to apply. The deadline is March 1.

* The Office of Human Resources has information on the mandated early sign-off for payroll period No. 4 from Jan. 20-Feb. 2. Because of a SHARP 9.1 upgrade, WSU's payroll file for the period ending Feb. 2, 2013, is due to the Department of Administration by 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5. To meet this deadline, timekeeping sign-off has been moved to 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31.
