* Nominations are now being accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for Unclassified Professionals. Nominees should have provided exemplary, dedicated and caring service to WSU beyond the normal expectations and responsibilities of their position, and must have a .5 or greater appointment as an Unclassified Professional.
Go to http://www.wichita.edu/upsenate for the nomination form and instructions. Nominations are due by noon Friday, Feb. 22.
* Learn about the WSU Libraries' eBook collections, including how to search for eBooks, eBook formats, and downloading eBooks to different devices. The workshop will be held from 10-11 a.m. today (Monday, Feb. 11) and 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, in 217 Ablah Library. The workshop is open to all students, faculty and staff. * The Spring 2013 Times Calendar of Events is now available from the Student Activities Council. If you or anyone in your department would like a copy, email Ashley Brink with the number of copies you would like and where they need to be delivered at amgrubb@wichita.edu. Copies also are available in Student Involvement located on the third floor of the RSC.
* Academic early alert is now part of Wichita State's quality initiative for Higher Learning Commission reaccreditation. The tool we use to gather early alert feedback from instructors is called GradesFirst. Questions about GradesFirst may be directed to william.vanderburgh@wichita.edu or 978-3379.

* A training session on Microsoft Beginning Outlook 2010 will be offered from 9 a.m.-noon Thursday, Feb. 14, in 119 Jabara Hall. This hands-on training introduces the user to customizing their Outlook experience. Click the Register button to view session details and register for training.
